- Looking for a Pathologist to join our growing hospital based pathology practice.
- This opportunity will provide a pathologist with opportunities in various types of pathology in a CAP/AABB approved hospital.
- Annual volumes are increasing and currently: 4,000 non-gyn cytology cases (including FNA, EBUS and EUS cases), 13,000 surgical cases (ranging the gamut from biopsies to complex oncologic resections), 1,100 peripheral blood smears, 150 bone marrows and 2 adult autopsies. A Pap smear program is currently being developed, and volumes are unknown.
- Call is on a rotational basis and generally calls are light (currently every 4th week).
- Clinical pathology is covered by all pathologists and knowledge of clinical issues and clinical troubleshooting is required.
- BC in AP/CP pathology and BE/BC in a subspecialty (if applicable)
- Preferred but not required: 3-5 years in practice signing out complex cancer cases utilizing CAP cancer checklists, molecular studies and personalized medicine metrics.
- Comfortable with bone marrow evaluations including those of MDS/MPD.
- The candidate would preferably have strong diagnostic skills in Hepatology and soft tissue.
